Who We Are

The Cass County Democratic Party is building a broad coalition and a strong voice in our community. We are a grassroots political organization that identifies local issues and local candidates to WIN ELECTIONS. We are a place of straightforward facts about issues at all levels of government to help us protect our rights. Our goal is to WIN elections and protect democracy.

Stand Up for Science Protest

Saturday, March 7 at 1 PM!

Take a stand for science at the Main Street Bridge in Niles at 1 PM on Saturday, March 7, 2026. Add your presence and your voice to let the world know that we think science is real and that it saves lives. If you have benefited from medical science, environmental science, vaccines, or nearly any other life-saving or life-improving advances, make your voice heard now. We need to fight for our Science!

No Kings III Protest in Cassopolis

Come out to protest on Saturday, March 28 from 2:00-3:00 PM by the Courthouse in Cassopolis!

Let's DWARF the No Kings II protest that happened last October 18th.  There were over 300 people walking the streets last October in Cassopolis. Help us make this the biggest protest ever by joining us on Saturday, March 28 at 2:00-3:00 PM in front of the old Courthouse. MAKE people sit up and take notice! NO KINGS in the United States!

About Us

When do we meet?

Our monthly business meetings are on the 3rd Saturday at 11 AM. We meet in person at 204 S. Front St., in Dowagiac and via Zoom

Open Every Saturday for Donuts with Democrats

10-noon, 204 S. Front Street, Dowagiac

Our meetings are open to all Democrats and like-minded people.

Saturday, April 18: Legacy Dinner honoring Gretchen Whitmer

We will be honoring Governor Gretchen Whitmer and have special guest speaker Andy Bashear, governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Sunday, April 19: MDP's 2026 Endorsement Convention

Take an active role in choosing party candidates for Democratic candidates for the November ballot for Secretary of State, Attorney General, and the State Supreme Court. Candidates for other offices, including State Board of Education, Michigan State University Board of Trustees, Wayne State University Board of Governors, and University of Michigan Board of Regents will also be chosen.
